Three Rising Stars
Every month we sign up new foundries who provide new, innovative fonts. In this 17th issue of Rising Stars, we want to show you 3 of our top-selling new fonts.

Originally designed by Fredric Goudy in 1919, LTC Goudy Initials is a new release that features all 26 decorative capitals in one font with simplified outlines that are true to the original, yet optimized for today’s computers.

LTC Goudy Initials

Ayres Royal was designed to honor London's famous calligrapher John Ayres (circa 1700). Ayres Royal and Royal Plus are blackletter, calligraphic fonts that go together and work well for invitations and newsletter headlines.

Ayres Royal

Cilantro is a casual handwriting font, perfect for invitations, posters, picture cards, headlines, and menus.

Did You Know?
MyFonts offers a powerful set of patented searching tools designed to help you find exactly what you’re looking for, fast — even if you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for! A search box is at the top of every page. Enter text in this box to search by:

Descriptive keywords. This is the best method for a general search. Keyword search lets you enter any words you feel describe the font you’re looking for, in everyday language. For instance, you might try “elegant formal,” “flair,” or “wedding invitation.”

Search

Font names. If you know the name of the font, just enter it in the search box (e.g., Garamond). To narrow your search, enter just the font family name (such as Garamond), not the font weight or style (Bold, Italic, etc.)

Search

Foundry names. If there’s a particular typeface design company you like, just enter it in the search box (e.g., TypeSETIt).

Focus on Design Trends: Graffiti

Is graffiti the new grunge? We've noticed a recent design trend toward graffiti fonts, and one foundry that epitomizes this movement is Highground. Highground Industries (a.k.a. Full Time Artists) has been an active group in the art community since the early 1990s. They have decided to start releasing some of their exclusive graffiti fonts. Highground has been collecting decent graffiti fonts and are working to add even more of them to their collection.

MyFonts is one of the very few places where you will find Highground graffiti fonts or the Highground Graffiti Fonts CD-ROM.

Fat Cap

Fat Cap

Fat Cap is a basic graffiti font, including letters with the outline style on the Caps keys, and the fill style on the lowercase keys. Numbers, symbols and a cloud are included. You can use fill fonts in graphics and illustration applications that support layers, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Paint Shop Pro.

Other Highground graffiti fonts include Pilot Rase and Dafunk, as well as the Graffit Fonts CD-ROM:

Have Your Say
You can have your say at MyFonts. Submit your comments. We’re always interested in your opinion.

“A friend of mine at Abbeville Press recommended your company to me. She said this is the only place she buys her fonts. When I called her to tell her how quickly you’d responded to my problem – and successfully, to boot – her response was ‘I’m not surprised. That's why I like them.’ But I’m surprised – and pleased! Good customer service (unfortunately) is very rare these days.” — JoAnne from Brooklyn, June 23rd 2005
