Tom Turtschi, born 1964, studied arts and crafts in Biel and Lucerne, works as a scenographer and visual designer. He works with typefaces and typography, including documenting and digitising the estate of Hans Eduard Meyer (Syntax). Writes science fiction stories and novels. 2020 German Science Fiction Prize for the most outstanding German-language short story.
Lives with his wife, 11 flatmates, 30 sheep, 50 chickens, 20 ducks, 3 goats, 8 bee colonies and 5 cats in the countryside in a 300-year-old farmhouse in the Emmental in Switzerland.
