Sobre la familia Freeland Fuente

Freeland is a casual brush typeface, with a rich, inky texture, and just a bit of a masculine, edgy vibe. It’s modern, bold, and lively, but not too whimsical. Features plenty of ligatures and stylistic alternates for a realistic, hand-lettered look. Uppercase letters can be used alone, as a cohesive group, or they can be paired with their lowercase cousins, for lettering that dances effortlessly across your design.

Acerca de Trial by Cupcakes

Laura Condouris is a calligrapher, illustrator, typeface designer and occasional comedienne located in Charm City (also known as Baltimore, Maryland). “I studied fine art in college (at MICA),” Laura says, “but regretted never getting a background in graphic design. When I became a full-time calligrapher, I became really interested in typography and letterforms. After lots of frustration and tears trying to teach myself font design, my first font, KatieRose was released in Spring 2012.” The self-taught designer quickly made a name for herself in the script type market and has seen great success with each typeface she’s released on Myfonts. Anna Clara, an organic script with the fine hairlines, thick swells, and slightly undulating baseline, was featured in our May 2013 edition of Rising Stars. Exactly one year later, in May of 2014, she was once again featured in the newsletter with her best selling typeface Quickpen. Her casual and carefree typefaces are meticulously crafted and impeccably made; each boasting awesome OpenType features that allow designers a customizable control over the final product. “I try to think about the kinds of type I usually need for my own projects, and imagine how others could use them for their own applications,” Laura says. “I want my typefaces to have a warm, casual feel, and always with a touch of the human hand.” If you love Laura’s fonts, check out her website to learn more about her calligraphy and illustration work too!
