    Sobre la familia Joga Fuente

Joga is based on signage lettering designed for the Johannes Pharmacy in Backnang, in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, many years ago, probably by the architect of the building. German type designer Hellmut G. Bomm, who has contributed a number of very beautiful and unique fonts to the URW FontForum during the last decade, was asked to redesign the pharmacy's letterhead, fax, business cards, etc., based on the original lettering. The result is quite pleasing: Joga is an expressive sans serif display font in the same vein as Broadway ? very feminine, very beautiful and of classical elegance. Joga reminds one of Art Deco and theater posters, and it is easily recognized by its strong contrast and individual letter forms. Joga is precisely constructed, i.e., it was drawn on a grid.
