Sobre la familia MPI Tuscan Extra Condensed Fuente

Tuscan X Condensed (whose actual name is Gothic Concave Tuscan Extra Condensed) was first produced in wood type by William H. Page & Company around 1872. The design is derived from a Gothic Condensed typeface, but with vertical stokes bowing inwards at the center. We modified the weight of the uppercase characters (since the original wood type has a lowercase much thinner than the caps) to harmonize with the lowercase when used digitally.

Acerca de mpressInteractive

mpressInteractive, LLC is a design and development company with our own well-equipped letterpress studio. We got our start by creating a virtual letterpress for the iPad called LetterMpress which has tens of thousands of users worldwide and has been featured by such publications as USA Today, Forbes, Fast Company, MacUser, and TechCrunch. We acquired a vast collection of vintage wood type from around the world which we carefully digitize to use in our apps, for letterpress printing, and now as OpenType fonts. mpressFonts™ are created from the collection of wood type used in our LetterMpress® app for iPad and Mac, and from our Living Letter Press studio. We have modified the original wood type specimens to account for digital appearance, missing characters, modern glyphs, and accents. Just as the original wood typefaces, mpressFonts are ideally suited for display and headline usage in print and digital media.
