About Raleigh Font Family
Raleigh is a contemporary old-style serif with calligraphic features, suitable for both text and display typography.
Originally produced in 1977 by Robert Norton, Raleigh is based on Carl Dair’s Cartier typeface, designed for the 1967 Montreal World's Fair.
The typeface was renamed to Raleigh after Dair’s death. Adrian Williams expanded the font with three additional weights for display, while Robert Norton focused on developing the text versions.
In 2001, the Cyrillic version was developed by Vladimir Yefimov at Paratype.
Raleigh main characteristics:
- 6 styles in total
- 626+ glyphs in each style
- 14 OpenType features, including Oldstyle figures
- Latin and Cyrillic support
