Three Steps Ahead

Obsessed with letterforms since childhood, Three Steps Ahead’s Josh Korwin began his typographic design journey in the late 20th century. Blending historical reference material with contemporary perspective, Josh released his first typeface, Bauer House, with T26 in 2006. His revival of “Goudy Fancy” was his first opportunity to experiment with OpenType code. Most of his career has focused on print design, web development, and, more recently, custom signage creation at Three Steps Ahead Sign Co. Passion for fonts is the fuel that drives it all.
