Über die Schriftfamilie Rhodaelian

Rhodaelian ist eine plüschige, knallharte Display-Schrift mit echter Designtiefe, die maximale Überzeugungskraft mit atemberaubender visueller Präsenz und mehr als einem Hauch von Magnetismus verbindet. Rhodaelian erinnert an das Industriedesign des frühen 21. Jahrhunderts. Jahrhunderts. Klare, intelligente Strukturen, definiert durch diskrete Kurven und ebenso subtile Details - eine kalkulierte Mischung aus scharf und glatt. In Bezug auf die Proportionen weist Rhodaelian Parallelen zu den gotischen Schwarzbuchstaben auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Entwicklung auf: schmale, kompakte Buchstabenformen mit Betonung der Vertikalen; Ober- und Unterlängen sind auf ein Minimum reduziert; der Strich (das Gewicht) ist gleich oder größer als die entsprechend schmalen Ziffern; ein satter, warmer Ton wird durch eng gesetzte Striche erzeugt. Die Rhodaelian vermeidet die einheitliche Gestaltung der meisten Schriften in ihrer Klasse, bei der ähnliche oder wiederkehrende Elemente - wenn auch nicht die gesamte Schrift- eine einheitliche Struktur und Ausführung erhalten. Das vielschichtige Design des Rhodaelischen ist keineswegs willkürlich, sondern systematisch; weiche Buchstaben wie 'o', 'e', 'h' sind mit glatten Ecken versehen, während 'harte' Buchstaben, z. B. 'q', 'p', 'n', scharfkantig und quadratisch geformt sind. Auf diese Weise wird die Mechanik der gesprochenen Sprache grafisch nachgeahmt, was zu einer wörtlichen Entsprechung der Sprache führt. Der differenzierte Ansatz fügt auch visuellen Reichtum hinzu und ersetzt auf subtile Weise die Fadheit, die wir normalerweise von industriell gestalteten Objekten kennen, ohne die grundlegende Einheit der Font zu opfern. Rhodaelian ist ein origineller Name, der für dieses Schrift geschaffen wurde.
