Thomas Phinney
Thomas Phinney is involved in the design, technical, historical and business aspects of type. His first retail typeface was Hypatia Sans, an Adobe Original created while he was Adobe’s product manager for fonts. He funded his second, Cristoforo, through a Kickstarter campaign. Thomas has a Master’s degree in typography and design from RIT, and an MBA from UC Berkeley. He is currently Vice President of FontLab, the makers of popular font editing tools, and lives in Portland, Oregon.
