About Andaluspain Pack 2 Font Family

“ANDALUSPAIN PACK 2” TYPEFACE SPECIMEN

In this font pack you can find the digital interpretation in typefaces of the most emblematic signs of Andalusia: ornate painted letters from Triana, carved bas-relief marble stone from Jaén, or tiles with the artistic mood from Seville, among others. The fact of converting these traditional lettersigns to typographic software recovers them forever, and allows you to give them new uses such as artistic, identity or touristic. Finally, these five typographic references have been chosen based on their historical and artisanal value, and all of them are highly recognized by the public or the clients:

BANCOS, BASED ON MARBLE STONE BAS-RELIEF FACADE

Jaén Central Bank - Paseo de la Estación, 57

ALFARERÍA, BASED ON OLD FACTORY CERAMIC TILE

Triana, Seville - Calle Alfarería, 43

KIOSCO, BASED ON NEWSPAPER KIOSK GLASS LETTERING

Jaén Bus Station - Plaza Coca de la Piñera, 6

PICÚA, BASED ON CERAMIC TILES FROM SEVILLE

Neighborhood 'San Julián', Seville - Several locations

About Cuchi, qué tipo

"Cuchi, ¡qué tipo! / Hey, what a man!" is really a wordplay nickname for Carlos Campos ("tipo" in spanish means both type and guy, and "cuchi" is an andalusian colloquial expression for "hey" or "look"). Carlos Campos is a graphic designer and professor of typography from Jaén (Andalusia, Spain). He is especially interested in promoting typographic culture through the investigation and recovery of the traditional signs and letters of his city and from popular folclore. His fonts are very expressive, colorful and bold, with a unique personality, as the result of the visual culture that surrounds him. You can be sure that if you use some of his typefaces, people will say "Cuchi!" You can see more at www.cuchiquetipo.com
