Antonio Vignali was born on January 30th, 1959 in Parma, the birthplace of Giambattista Bodoni and his famous typeface. He studied at the Art Institute in Parma where he developed a passion for traditional typography.
After graduation in 1983 from the Urbino ISIA Academy, in Communications and (?) New Graphic Design, Antonio spent 20 years working as Senior Art Director and Creative Director for famous international advertising agencies in Milan (Pirella Lowe, Armando Testa, Young & Rubicam). He received numerous international awards for clients including Barilla, Fiat, Persol, Beck's, and more. In the meantime, he followed his passion for typo design where he honed his skills and expertise.
