About Avoca Font Family

Avoca is named after the beach of the same name in my hometown, Sydney.

Growing up there I spent more time that I maybe should have at the beach so I assigned myself the task of creating a font that embraced a flowing fluidity, inspired by the curls of those waves and the beautiful sea.

When we think of fonts that draw design notes from the beach we inevitably only see either scripts that all look the same, or retro ‘surf styles’.

As a designer I pride myself on creating fonts that are not a cliche of a theme. But rather have a more intellectual design nod to the inspiration.

And I thought why not design a classic serif font with a contemporary feel, yet still have my concept within it.

The result is Avoca.

A chic, stylish, yet modern font, versatile enough for many different types of print design projects. As well as online on social media posts, Youtube creator titles, websites, and blogs.

Avoca gives your work a unique identity and character and is a must-have addition to your serif font catalogue.

This stunning font comes in 2 weights and supports many European languages.

About LostandFoundry

LostandFoundry is a type workshop created by a designer, for designers. My foundry concept and goal is to make it easy for designers and creators to 'find' unique fonts that can assist them develop singularly unique, and compelling projects. My speciality is designing what I refer to as 'crossover fonts' - fonts that look and feel modern and contemporary, yet have subtle, 'serif-like' touches.
