About Baz Font Family

Baz (باز, Again) font family serves as a complementary counterpart to the bazbaran. This family comprises five distinct styles. The initial two styles, baz light and baz LP light, represent traditional Arabic fonts featuring connected letters and a capital (Final) letter at the end of each word. The forms of the capital (Isolated) letters have been modified to achieve a more cohesive visual appeal within the text.

The bazr LP (Less Point) light denotes the only dot-reduced style in this font family, wherein glyphs containing two or more dots are substituted with new dotless shapes.

The baz MC (Mixed Case) light emulates Latin fonts, enabling typists to toggle between lowercase and uppercase letters through a software shift key. This software shift feature can be activated or deactivated by inputting two consecutive Alef_Hamza_above/Alef_Hamza_below letters. more…

The final two styles consist of the Small Caps (baz SC light) and All Caps (baz AC light) versions within this font family.

About Fakharia

Like language, scripting is a living thing and is subject to evolution. The more it adapts to its surrounding environment, the more chance it has to survive. Font designing is today's tool to fulfill this process.Latin script adapts well to today's digital world with over 72000 fonts. Unfortunately, the Peso-Arabic script Locks itself in the traditional box (calligraphy rules) and remains far behind with just over 500 fonts.I tried to unlock this box to make the Perso-Arabic script more compatible with today's digital world. To this extent, I developed a new writing system and designed a set of different typeface fonts for this system to let the Perso-Arabic script shine better.
