Coen Hofmann was born in 1939 in Amsterdam and looks back on a long and successful career as a professional type designer. He was not only involved in the design of numerous books and publications, once many stores and shops in Amsterdam used his typedesigns for their windows. Through his experience in the design of scientific and mathematical publications, Coen Hofmann is involved as a technical adviser for the STIX font project.
