About Contrasta Font Family

A contemporary display face with a vast amount of alternates & ligatures intended to mimic custom lettering. Designed by Todor Georgiev in the period 2020–2024.

Inspired by and continuation of Tozzi’s personal lettering style which is experimental bold to say the least. Contrasta is the product of years of on-and-off experimentation, evolving far from its origins. Letters have high contrast, heavy strokes and thin accents. Contrasta pairs letters automatically as you type in order to achieve the look of contemporary lettering. The goal is for every piece of text to look custom made.

Contrasta isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s for those who want their text to shout, not whisper. Intended for use in large sizes and short texts such as headlines and logotypes. Perfect for posters, album covers, festival visuals, apparel, magazine covers – any place you want to make an impact.

About Letter Collective

Letter Collective is a young creative duo based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Both founders Jacklina Jekova and Todor Georgiev agree their craft requires a patient hand and a clear mind. Their focus is on lettering and calligraphy which occasionally translates into typefaces. Years of accumulated experience in the field of graphic design, brand identity, applied and fine arts combined with the passion for letters results in carefully made products originating from a sketch, study or mock-up made by hand. On that subject, the team says: “Process is everything. Put in the effort to experiment and try each possibility and undoubtedly you’ll reach the right solution. We believe this is a universal recipe for all aspects of life. Letterforms especially. www.lettercollective.com
