Daniel Thomas - I am a senior designer originally from North Wales, now residing on the Wirral in England. I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons in Graphic Design from Staffordshire University. Following graduation in 2002, I moved to Cardiff and gained my first valuable experience working within the industry at a printers. Learning how to setup for the printing press. Which gave me my first insight into the wonderful intricacies of letterforms in ink on paper. Whilst there I was the sole designer managing the design department, formulating concepts as well as supervising other members of staff in executing layouts to brand guidelines. I also consulted with clients regarding budget, the brief and their objectives.

Since my first hands on experience at a printers I have worked for several design companies including Icon Creative Design, Brazil Design and Celf Creative. Where I have produced work for clients such as Swansea University, University of Glamorgan, National Museum Wales, Johnson & Johnson, Wales Rally GB, Tregroes Waffles and Duck Island to name but a few.

At present I am a senior designer at View Creative. As well as running Work by Dan (www.workbydan.co.uk) with a strong focus on ideas, brand identity and type design.
