The idea behind the formation of Dutype was initiated by Darman, Ukka, and Aditya with the mission to contribute to the treasury of creative work, particularly in the field of letterforms. This is based on concerns about the system, working methods, and the letter production process, which are sometimes not taken seriously and could pose risks in certain dominant areas of interest.As a type foundry, Dutype carries the mission to be present as an option and partner that can meet the needs in various sectors, especially in the creative industry. In addition to being a type foundry that produces fonts with a firm commitment to expressive and systematic principles, Dutype is also open to being a type consultant, corporate font designer, font licensing consultant, font marketplace, and font workshop facilitator that always leans on technological developments and the manner of scientific calculations while still upholding aesthetic values.
