Isabel Urbina Peña is a cover designer at Random House in New York.
In 2014, she started Letra Type and released her first original typeface Galea, a display family of elongated proportions and graceful terminals. In 2012, she graduated from the Cooper Union's Cooper Type Extended program in Typeface Design. She graduated with honors in 2008 from ProDiseño (Caracas, Venezuela) where she obtained a BFA in Visual Communication and Design.
She has worked at C&G Partners LLC, American Museum of Natural History, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas and for a range of clients like Variety, Campari & Diner Journal.
