Jacklina Jekova is a type designer and calligrapher from Sofia, Bulgaria.She completed a BA in Graphic design and specialized in the Faculty of Art and Design in UJEP, Ústí nad Labem, Czechia. She then focused on typography and completed MA in Calligraphy at the National Academy of Art in Sofia. In 2016 she started a PhD research in experimental calligraphic techniques at the department of Calligraphy in the National Academy of Art, Sofia. The same year was the start of her career as a type designer in Fontfabric type foundry. In 2018 she co-founded Letter Collective together with Todor Georgiev and now is fully dedicated to the fields of type design, calligraphy, lettering, brand identity and custom fabrication of signage, artworks and other items functional or not.
