For many years Jim Lyles worked as an in-house type designer and font engineer at
Bitstream, the world’s first digital typefoundry. After Bitstream merged into
Monotype in 2012, Lyles became an independent type designer and consultant, working closely with
Brian J. Bonislawsky as
Stiggy and Sands.
