I have been in the graphic design industry for sixty years beginning
in an art studio in Sydney in 1961 as a junior commercial artist. I attended college three nights a week while working through the day learning my studio skills and carrying out the chores associated with my position.
From there I concentrated on my main interest of lettering and I also became very interested in packaging and corporate identity design. A two year interval in the Australian Army’s National Service program brought a temporary halt to my career but on completion I immediately took up where I had left off and held positions as senior designer, art director and creative director. Awards for packaging design were reward for hard work.
In 2005 I decided to open my own business full time specializing in lettering, logo, brandmark and type design. This has proved most successful doing work across the Australian states of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland. International commissions have come from Switzerland, England, Ireland, United States, Asia and New Zealand.
