Keith Chi-Hang Tam grew up in Hong Kong, where he developed a fascination with letterforms in general, but particularly the calligraphic. His formal typographic education was the M.A. program at the
University of Reading in England. As part of that program he developed a sans-serif for signage, Arrival, which is now used for campus signage at Reading. He now resides in Vancouver, Canada, and teaches typography at the Emily Carr Institute.
