About KSW Uberground Mono Std Font Family

KSW Uberground Mono Std is a simplified monospaced version of the KSW Uberground Pro font. Its precise grid is based on early versions of DIN from 1927 but in 1:2 proportions. The glyph designs are inspired by the British number plate font from 1935.

Its geometric proportions and high readability make it an excellent choice for headlines and posters, industrial design and signage, navigation elements, as well as coding. The recognizable style can be both retro and futuristic, creating unique atmospheric associations.

OpenType features are available:

• Lots of stylistic alternates

• Recognizable historical angled terminals

• Different angles of inclination (K, S)

• Shifted vertical centers (P, R)

• Different heights for all types of brackets

• Uppercase

About Koshawa

Koshawa is a small design studio once founded somewhere in Eastern Europe and now based in Belgrade, Serbia. The name we chose, originates from “košava” — just one of the many terms for the unique southeastern wind. It blows over Europe from the Carpathian Mountains to the Adriatic Sea. Piercing sharp and cold, yet simultaneously free and infused with the influence of different cultures and languages it encounters, this wind brings us inspiration. Our mission is to consciously reevaluate aesthetics and heritage, principles and concepts of various European 20th-century design schools to create better design in the present and future.
