Lars Törnqvist is a linguist and typographer, engaged in text encoding and text processing for various linguistic purposes. He has been interested in letter design since childhood, and he started making digital fonts in the 1990s when he needed some special phonetic characters in a Swedish dialect project.
His main interest in the typographic field is old letterforms in handwriting, engraving, stonecutting, embroidery and metal type.
