Art experience started early in Ron's life and consisted mainly of pigmented wax skillfully applied to painted sheetrock. After his parents found out, he quickly began searching for less painful ways of self-expression.
A few years later, 24 to be exact, the time was ripe for designing a badly needed font. This 5 by 7 matrix masterpiece became the cornerstone of a homemade Z80-based terminal. Together with a new wife and a homemade 300 baud modem it was no longer necessary to stand in line at the university computing facility waiting for a terminal to become available.
The font designer gained extensive font experience while porting the *nix program troff to the DOS/LaserJet PCL environment.
