Sehr Type

Sehr Type was founded in the Summer of 2022 by Haden Bryce Wade amidst a personal journey through severe burnout. Seeking solace and revival through various creative pursuits such as pottery, watercolor, and writing, Bryce eventually discovered a passion for type design. After a six-month intensive into the rich history of typography, Bryce channeled this newfound knowledge and enthusiasm into the creation of Sehr Type's debut typeface, Appalachia. This journey not only marked the beginning of Sehr Type but also established its foundation in resilience, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the art of typography. Sehr Type remains committed to an ever-evolving understanding of contemporary typography trends, while also honoring the timeless traditions that have shaped the field. The foundry's ethos is built on a balance of continuous learning and historical awareness, ensuring that each typeface created is both innovative and grounded in typographic heritage.
