    About SFPL Font Family

The SFPL family was developed as part of a visual identity program for the San Francisco Public Library. It is intended as an economical, easy to use, highly legible typeface family for publishing newsletters, brochures, booklets, annual reports and the like. Together with Cycles, Stone Print, and Arepo it makes up a superfamily of typefaces.

    About Stone Type Foundry

Stone Type Foundry features the designs of Sumner Stone. Mr. Stone was responsible for establishing Adobe’s typographic program in the 1980s. During the same period he designed the classic ITC Stone. In 1990 he started his own micro-foundry for which he has since produced distinctive original typeface designs including Cycles which provides book designers with refinements from the era of metal type, Silica, a slab serif, and Magma an elegant humanistic sans.
