Sol Hess
American typographer Sol Hess (1896–1953) managed the Lanston library from early in the 20th century until the second World War, shaping some of the faces himself, and commissioning many from Frederic W. Goudy. He created the font Broadway™ Engraved in 1928. Broadway Engraved is part of the Linotype Library. Broadway is a trademark of VGC Corporation.
