About Tenha Font Family

Tenha (تنها, Lone) is supportive font family to the tenhayee, featuring five distinct styles. The initial two, namely tenha thin and tenha LP thin, represent classical Arabic typefaces. In all styles, the capitalized (Isolated) letters have been altered from the traditional horizontally extended shape to a vertically extended one. This adjustment has been made to create a harmonious look that is well-suited for horizontal writing.

The tenha LP (Less Point) thin is the only dot-reduced style in this font family, where glyphs with two or more dots are replaced with a new dotless shape.

The tenha MC (Mixed Case) thin emulates Latin fonts, allowing typists to toggle between lowercase (Initial) and uppercase (Isolated) letters through a software Caps Lock key. This software Caps Lock feature can be turned on or off by inputting The Tatweel letter. more…

The final two styles consist of the Small Caps (tenha SC thin) and All Caps (tenha AC thin) versions within this font family.

The style of this font family is inspied by the Drumnik font.

About Fakharia

Like language, scripting is a living thing and is subject to evolution. The more it adapts to its surrounding environment, the more chance it has to survive. Font designing is today's tool to fulfill this process.Latin script adapts well to today's digital world with over 72000 fonts. Unfortunately, the Peso-Arabic script Locks itself in the traditional box (calligraphy rules) and remains far behind with just over 500 fonts.I tried to unlock this box to make the Perso-Arabic script more compatible with today's digital world. To this extent, I developed a new writing system and designed a set of different typeface fonts for this system to let the Perso-Arabic script shine better.
