Underscore

Underscore is an independent type foundry and consultancy from Finland, founded in 2018 by type designer Johannes Neumeier. The foundry’s focus is on quality and thoughtful designs with extensive language support for latin based languages. Underscore’s inaugrual catalogue ranges from highly functional workhorse types such as interface fonts Silta and modern serif workhorse Jozef to more elegant and flashy display designs such as the Quell typeface family. The fonts are designed with a keen eye for stylistic innovation, excellent technical production, good legibility and their overall usefulness to designers and publishers working in graphic, brand, product and editorial design.
