About Volte Telugu Font Family

Volte Telugu is a workhorse typeface for Corporate Design that Manushi Parikh developed at ITF. Although Telugu letters don’t feature serifs, Volte Telugu’s monolinear appearance calls geometric sans serifs made for the Latin script to mind. It feels at home wherever they do. The style resonates with many architects, artists, engineers, fashion designers, graphic designers, and musicians in a way almost no other kind of letter can. Volte Telugu is available in two formats: install it as a single Variable Font or use the family’s five static OpenType font files. Those range in weight from Light to Bold. While the static-format fonts offer a good intermediary-step selection, users who install the Variable Font have vastly greater control over their text’s stroke width. The Volte Telugu Variable Font’s weight axis allows users to differentiate between almost 1,000 possible font weights. That enables you to fine-tune your text’s exact appearance on-screen or in print. The Indian Type Foundry’s Volte multi-script superfamily supports a dizzying array of writing systems. We’ve designed variants of the typeface to support 11 different writing systems used in India. Those are Arabic, Bangla, Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Kannada, Latin, Malayalam, Odia, Tamil, and Telugu. We’ve also created subfamilies for two more “Indic” scripts: Volte Sinhala for the Sinhala script used in Sri Lanka and Volte Thai for the Thai script used in Thailand. Volte Arabic supports several languages written with the Arabic script, too. Volte Latin supports most European languages. By creating an interoperating series of so many parts, we strive to improve the workflows of digital designers and designers in Corporate Design around the world.

About Indian Type Foundry

Founded in 2009, the Indian Type Foundry (ITF) designs and distributes fine-quality, multilingual fonts for both the Indian and global market. ITF specialises in creating and developing both custom and retail fonts. ITF has designed and licensed fonts to some of the world’s most iconic brands including Apple, Google, Samsung, Sony, Amazon and Hyundai to name just a few. Its retail library offers fonts for text and display use, in visual styles ranging from traditional to experimental. ITF currently offers over 200 retail font families across 20 writing systems. ITF’s Kohinoor font family is on permanent display at London’s Design Museum as part of the “Designer Maker User” exhibition, which recognises this work as a historic milestone in the field of graphic design.
