Vonsim

Vonsim is a one-person digital type foundry owned by Yvonne Simmermacher and based in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA. The name of the foundry, Vonsim, was derived from the first three letters of the first and last name of the founder. Vonsim creates unique and compelling fonts that draw inspiration from both fiction and nature that result from the wondrous imagination of its founder.In the Winter of 2018, Yvonne moved from the little island of Singapore to the United States with big dreams of pursuing a career in graphic design. Currently a senior at the Institute of Art and Design at New England College, Yvonne is doing just that – Studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Business Administration, she nears her graduation in the Spring of 2022. The root of her interest in graphic design was her passion for fine art and illustration - She began taking commissions for digital illustrations at the age of 16, and continues to do so, specializing in animated character art. Her experiences in the graphic design field include multiple branding projects as well as a Graphic Design Intern position at Montagne Powers, a communications firm. Striving for a rounded and diverse knowledge in the creative field, she is constantly challenging herself to delve into new forms of design through personal projects.
