About Xyz Font Family

Introducing our latest addition to the foundry archive collection, a striking typeface originally designed in 2017 for the Wired UK redesign. This display typeface offers remarkable versatility, capable of being implemented in both flat colour and three-dimensional forms.

Its unique design aesthetic draws on the smooth, flowing lines characteristic of parametric and digital design, yet it juxtaposes this sleekness with abrupt connections and junctions that add a layer of complexity and intrigue. The resulting letters possess a bold, almost hieroglyphic appearance, reminiscent of stamps or carvings, making them stand out with a distinctive, timeless quality.

Perfect for a variety of applications, this typeface not only captures attention but also lends a sense of depth and sophistication to any design project. Whether used in print or digital formats, its ability to seamlessly transition between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms ensures it remains a versatile and essential addition to any designer’s toolkit.

About Sawdust

Sawdust is the creative collaboration between Rob Gonzalez and Jonathan Quainton. For over a decade, we have produced engaging, award-winning work for renowned brands such as Apple, Nike, Netflix, NASA, The New York Times, WIRED, Microsoft, Adidas, Reebok, and Converse, and have been commissioned by numerous creative agencies worldwide. Our personal artworks are driven by a fascination with the atmospheric and enigmatic, often exploring ideas related to light, shadow, form, ambience, tension, futurism, typography, geometry, and more recently, sound. Ethereal narratives combined with aesthetic exploration are recurring themes in our work. The drive to evolve and explore creatively, visually, and technically continues to fuel our growth as creators.
