About the family

Luxurian AOE is a dramatic display family inspired by the iconic logo of the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, expanding that distinctive source into a broader typographic system of complementary styles. Rather than functioning as a simple revival, the family builds outward from the original signage influence to create a collection of elegant and highly stylized typefaces that balance monumentality, geometry, and destination-brand glamour. The forms carry a strong architectural presence, with sharp internal angles, sculptural counters, and a visual language that feels equally informed by resort signage, Deco-inflected display typography, and cinematic branding. The standard Luxurian collection spans seven coordinated styles, while Luxurian Pro consolidates and extends the concept with advanced feature functionality, broader language support, small caps, multiple figure styles, unlimited fractions, stylistic sets, and alternate glyph access. Together, the Luxurian family is well suited for hospitality branding, entertainment graphics, luxury packaging, editorial titling, travel-inspired design, and other display applications that call for an exotic, iconic, and visually elevated typographic voice.

About Astigmatic

In 1873, the strange and fantastic story began. Nearly two centuries later, Brian J. Bonislawsky was born, and carrying on a mix of the the footsteps his ancestors before him took, he picked up the the traditions and founded the Astigmatic One Eye Foundry, which later expanded to become the Astigmatic One Eye Typographic Institute. (For more of the background story, see the Historical Perspective link below.) Since its founding Astigmatic has worked with dozens of designers, helping them forge their own foundries as well as helping to increase the quality of type created by Astigmatic and these other foundries. Astigmatic strives to continually increase its range of typographic scope; taking on expeditions to revive old typestyles, unearth long lost typefaces, forge new styles yet unseen, and begin to develop more comprehensive language typestyles of the WGL4 set size which includes Greek and Cyrillic extensions. If you are looking for a wide variety of typographic influence and style, the Astigmatic One Eye Institute is your source for type.
