Hondo Grunge is a collection of ultra-bold, eroded slab serif display faces that takes the high-performance punch of Hondo and drenches it in grit. Built with heavy wood type energy, a dynamic stance, and rugged texture throughout, Hondo Grunge looks like it’s been dragged through dust, asphalt, and bad weather—and came out louder. Decorative yet functional inktraps add extra bite and rhythm to the forms, giving the family an aggressive, hardcore edge that still reads cleanly in big typography. The family includes multiple styles along with Slant and Backslant variants for added motion and impact, making it easy to push everything from bold western swagger to fast, brutal headline energy. For even more organic variation, Hondo Grunge includes a complete alternate set of base characters; enabling contextual alternates forces the font to continually switch between the primary and alternate sets as you type, creating a spontaneous, less-repetitive texture without manual swapping.
