Neue Helvetica World is now available in three widths and six styles: 45 Light, 55 Roman and 75 Bold, each with an italic. Neue Helvetica World’s language support covers not only the pan-European area (extended Latin alphabet, Cyrillic and Greek), but also makes it possible to set Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, Armenian, Georgian and Vietnamese texts. The Cyrillic alphabet contains not only the standard options, but also the complete Unicode block u+0400. Furthermore, Hebrew language support is added. With support for a total of 181 languages, Neue Helvetica World is also suitable to meet the typographic and linguistic demands of large international brands, corporations, publishing houses and software and hardware developers.
Neue Helvetica World is offered as OpenType font with TrueType (.ttf) or PostScript CFF (.otf) outlines and, depending on format and style, is only between 140 and 270 KB in size. The uprights each include 1,708 glyphs and the cursives 1,285 glyphs (some fonts, such as Arabic, do not have an italic).
With the most recent revision a large number of new currency characters have been expanded in the styles mentioned, such as the Russian rouble, the Turkish lira, the Indian rupee and also the manat ‒ the currency symbol of Azerbaijan, which was included in the Unicode standard in position U+20BC in 2014.
