As with many of Verena Gerlach’s typefaces, there was an unusual source of inspiration. The original typeface was inspired by a noticeboard that was found in the Haus des Lehrers in Berlin (an iconic building located near Alexanderplatz). FF Sizmo has five weights each with an italic counterpart as well as generous spacing, open counters, and wide apertures. Making it a perfect choice for signage systems and short texts, as well as branding and corporate projects. The Line design has a striking appearance, that works well as a stand-alone or in unison with FF Sizmo. Through the magic of OpenType, the beginning, middle and line ends of the characters are automatically inserted into the copy.
